Lucy and Jim have instituted an environmental management plan that outlines their goals to become more sustainable. It includes their efforts towards recycling, composting, and installing water saving toilets and showerheads. The Catamount B&B also makes good use of reducing waste with reusable containers and bulk purchasing. Catamount B&B - a great model for the environmentally friendly business.

Located in Morrisville, VT, the Village Victorian has earned Green Hotels certification for their environmental conservation and sustainable business practices. Owners Philip and Ellen are committed to an extensive recycling program and bulk purchase of paper products, reducing waste all around. All grounds fertilizers are organic and energy efficiency is monitored. Bleach in the laundry has been replaced by environmentally preferable detergents and low-flow showerheads are installed in all the bathrooms. Being Green has been a way of life for the Village Victorian B&B.

The Lang House exceeds environmental initiatives using eco-friendly cleaning products, purchasing products in bulk and recycling everything they can. They have instituted a comprehensive eniro. management plan that includes composting food waste, using 100% recycled paper products and phasing out any and all chemical products. A towel reuse program is in place further reducing wastewater and improving efficiency. Patsy and Kim, owners of The Lang House provide an excellent example of an eco-efficient establishment.

The Fitch Hill Inn has transformed their business into a sustainable green establishment by instituting waste reduction through bulk purchasing, recycling all materials like from glass to paper, and increasing energy efficiency throughout the property. Individual room thermostats have been installed to help minimize the usage of heating fuel and composting yard waste has minimized landfill demand. John and Julie have made this historical inn an oases for travelers who make their way through Lamoille county.
